Between The Stadiums And Georgetown.

Where It Is

1712 1st Avenue South, between the stadiums and Georgetown. Lumen Field and T-Mobile Park are about a ten minute walk north. Downtown is five minutes by car, Capitol Hill and West Seattle about ten. The Stadium light rail station is the closest stop.

Why SODO For An Event

SODO is the one Seattle neighborhood where a building this size still exists with a roll up door, no shared lobby and no hotel ballroom markup. Warehouse blocks mean a loud night does not bother a neighbor upstairs, and the party can go until 2am.

Parking And Getting Here

Street parking on 1st Avenue South and the side streets, plus the paid stadium lots a few blocks north. On a Seahawks, Sounders or Mariners game day, plan around the crowd: rideshare, the light rail, or a lot booked ahead. Full directions are on the getting here page. Parking and directions.

SODO event space questions

What People Ask Before They Tour

What kind of event space is it?

A 6,000 square foot, two floor warehouse on 1st Avenue South. Three spaces: the Main Hall downstairs with the DJ booth, the screen and the reclaimed wood wall, the Speakeasy upstairs with its own bar and balcony, and the Back Venue with white brick, the mural and a roll up garage door. Fully indoor and heated.

How many guests fit?

The Main Hall holds up to 120. The Main Hall plus the Speakeasy or the Back Venue holds up to 250. The whole building holds up to 300. Seated at dinner tables is about 50 and chairs only is about 80, so a large event here is on its feet with seating around the edges.

What does a night in SODO cost here?

Every night with a bar is a six hour package. Sunday to Thursday is $1,750 for the Main Hall, $2,650 for the Main Hall plus a second space and $3,550 for the whole building. Friday is $1,950, $2,950 and $3,950. Saturday is $2,950, $3,950 and $4,950. No service charge and no food and drink minimum.

Is SODO safe at night for guests?

Every package comes with security. The Main Hall is 1 guard, the Main Hall plus a second space is 2, the whole building is 3, plus a manager on site all night. The front door is on a lit stretch of 1st Avenue South with rideshare pickup right outside. Most guests arrive by car or rideshare, and the light rail runs until after midnight most nights.

Can we bring our own alcohol and food?

Yes to both. You buy the bottles and our licensed bartenders pour them, hard liquor included, 1 bartender for the Main Hall and 2 for two spaces or the whole building. Your own bottles are for private, invitation only events, with a Washington banquet permit we walk you through. Food is any caterer, restaurant trays or a food truck through the roll up door. No caterer list, no minimum.

What is nearby for guests staying the weekend?

Pioneer Square and the downtown hotels are one light rail stop or a five minute drive north. The stadium district has bars and restaurants along 1st Avenue South and Occidental. Georgetown, a few minutes south, has the breweries and late night food. We are happy to point out of town guests to a hotel on the tour.

How late can we go, and how do we book?

Until 2am, any night. Tour first, Monday to Friday between 10am and 7pm, about 20 to 30 minutes and free. If it is a fit, a signed agreement and a 50% deposit lock your date. Deposits are non refundable, but everything you have paid moves to a new date within 12 months if plans change.

Stand In It Before You Decide

Tours run 20 to 30 minutes, Monday to Friday, and cost nothing. Walk the floor, go up to the Speakeasy, see the roll up door and leave with an exact number for your date.
